Cobb Pediatrics is open for business and hoping to see you soon. Now is the perfect time to schedule your child’s wellness checkups, sports physicals, and recommended vaccinations. We have gone the extra mile to ensure our office is a safe place for patients and staff. Here are some of the safety measures we have put in place to keep you and your children protected from COVID19:
- Dedicated well child exam rooms
- Convenient check-in from the car
- Personal protective equipment – we wear masks and gloves with every
patient - Extensively clean all surfaces after every visit
- Telehealth visits when appropriate
- Drive by vaccinations and lab tests as an option
- Carefully screening all patients for COVID symptoms or exposures before
the visit - Twice a day we monitor our own staff for fever or respiratory symptoms
Keeping your children vaccinated against preventable diseases is the best way to prevent outbreaks. Please call our office if your child is due a vaccination. It is important to stay on schedule. Schools are expected to monitor vaccine status more closely than ever this Fall. In particular, elementary school students need MMR, varicella, DTaP and Polio vaccines. Middle school students need TdaP and MCV (meningitis). Teens aged 16 or older must have their second MCV (meningitis).
Annual checkups are important so we can monitor your child’s growth, developmental milestones, mental health concerns, and chronic issues such as asthma and allergies. We want to partner with you to keep your children healthy. Please call today to schedule a well child exam, a sports physical, an asthma follow-up, or a vaccination. Thank you for trusting us with your child’s health.
