Dr. Gaines received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and her medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She then returned to Vanderbilt to complete her residency in pediatrics. Dr. Gaines is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and also an active a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has a special interest in infectious diseases and travel medicine as well as in general pediatric medicine. In her spare time, she is an active volunteer at Zoo Atlanta and other conservation groups. Effective 8/1/2024, Dr. Gaines is no longer accepting new patients.
We have been with Dr. Gaines for 20 years. She’s patient, non-judgmental, and takes time to talk to my now teenagers with kindness. I wish we could stay with her indefinitely.
There was a car accident the morning in the parking lot of Dr. Gaines' office. She stopped to offer service, but at that time the fire department was arriving. What was above and beyond was that she noticed that I cut my hand breaking the glass to get to the person in the car. She invited me in to her office to clean me up - and I even got a Spiderman bandage. She is a very kind and caring doctor - and if she can treat an adult with such care, I can only imagine what she can do for a child. Good job Dr. Gaines.
We could not be happier with the care we receive from Dr.Gaines. We have two boys and have been delighted to be able to call on her to help our family for over 4 years.
We have been seeing Dr. Gaines for more than 17 years since our oldest son was born. I wish she could be my doctor as well! She caught that my oldest had an eye condition and that my youngest needed a referral to neurology when I had no idea that either had an issue. She is very personable and I trust all of the medical advice she has given us. Fantastic—can’t say enough good things about her!
My kids have been seeing Dr. Gaines for 12 years- we love Dr. Gaines. She listens, answers all our question, never feel rushed and always spot on with diagnosis. Thank you Dr. Gaines for truly caring for my kids♥️
LOVE Dr. Gaines! I have been her patient since elementary school and am now a college student. I will be very sad when I have to leave.
