Meet Dr. Claudio-Sandoval

Dr. Sheisa Claudio-Sandoval is a board-certified pediatrician with 10 years of experience caring for children and families. She earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at the Medical College of Georgia/Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia.

Dr. Claudio takes a relationship-focused approach to pediatric care, emphasizing trust, communication, and meaningful connections with patients and their families. She believes that listening is one of the most important parts of providing quality care and strives to create a welcoming environment where families feel heard, supported, and comfortable asking questions.

Dr. Claudio's passion for medicine began during childhood, inspired by her curiosity about science and the human body. Growing up with asthma, she experienced firsthand the difference compassionate, knowledgeable physicians could make in a child's life. She remembers being impressed by her doctors' ability to help her feel better, inspiring her to pursue a career where she could provide that same reassurance and care to other children and families.

One of the things Dr. Claudio enjoys most about pediatrics is watching her patients grow and develop their own unique personalities. She loves celebrating their milestones and hearing about the exciting moments in their lives. For Dr. Claudio, building lasting relationships with families and becoming a trusted part of their journey is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a pediatrician.

She is especially passionate about supporting families through the newborn stage, helping parents navigate the joys and challenges of caring for a new baby. She believes in being part of each family's "village," offering guidance, encouragement, and reassurance so parents never feel alone.

Dr. Claudio also has a special interest in breastfeeding support and ADHD management, helping children and families find the tools, resources, and confidence they need to thrive.

Dr. Claudio speaks English and Spanish.
